The NiKRASA competence team
- The bayernhafen Group represents the combined transport terminal as an intermodal hub and link.
- TX Logistik AG represents the interests of a rail transport company, such as functionality and interoperability and markets NiKRASA.
- Logistik-Kompetenz-Zentrum Prien (LKZ Prien GmbH) - Logistics Competence Center - is the partner for the practical side of things and also acts as a link to integrate the individual stakeholders along the entire logistics chain. Additionally, LKZ contributes its expertise in the field of funding.
The bayernhafen Group is an active facilitator of the development of logistics solutions and networks. It acts as a location architect that develops strategies across companies and locations, invests in infrastructures and works in close co-operation with the ports’ resident companies to unlock new value-added potential. The objective is to further strengthen the position of the ports as logistics sites and hubs for the worldwide exchange of goods. Strategic space management ensures a mix of sectors, including transport, warehousing, logistics, services and production.
Moreover, 800 hectares of total port area and around 500 resident companies with more than 12,000 employees make the bayernhafen Group one of the most efficient and powerful logistics networks in Europe and important motors of the Bavarian economy. The bayernhafen Group itself employs 210 employees. The company Bayernhafen GmbH & Co. KG with Chief Executive Joachim Zimmermann operates the locations in Aschaffenburg, Bamberg, Regensburg and Passau. The sites in Nuremburg and Roth are operated by Hafen Nürnberg-Roth GmbH. Bayernhafen GmbH & Co. KG holds 80%, the City of Nuremberg 19% and the City of Roth 1% of the shares of Hafen Nürnberg-Roth GmbH.
TX Logistik AG
Founded in 1999 in Bad Honnef, TXLOGISTIK AG (TXL) today is one of Europe’s largest rail transport companies. With own licenses TXL is operating in 9 European countries (Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and France).
TXL designs transport networks without borders, develops freight transport concepts and offers industry-specific customised solutions from A to Z. In the sense of a combined transport model TXL replaces the traditional division of labour in rail transport by modern and lean one-stop shop solutions.
The company offers the whole range of rail cargo transportation, mainly on the European North-South axis, including container transports, combined transport services, finished vehicle distribution and conventional rail transports. With intermodal overland transportation TXL is mainly operating on the North-South transport corridors between Scandinavia, Germany, Benelux and Austria/Italy.
The result: TXL is moving more than 20,000 trains a year from Germany, the hub of the European flow of goods, through Europe - economically and sustainably. TXL is consistently exploiting the opportunities offered by a rail transport market that opens up more and more. This way TXL can give new and strong impetus to rail transport within the scope of international transit traffic.
